Hi, I’m Bill Cleveland and just thought I’d give you some idea of who I am and my “backstory”; how I came to be a voice actor.
I retired from IBM in 2001 after 36 years. During my career I held many positions including Test Technician and Engineer on the Saturn 1B and Saturn V (Moon Rocket) Instrument Unit checkout, Logistics Engineer, Technical Writer, Information Developer, Product Planner, Manager, Financial Analyst, etc. As you can see, if nothing else, I was flexible and able to do multiple things! I also completed a degree in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville while working at IBM. I’m not put off by medical or scientific language.
Following IBM, I took on a more active role with a local youth soccer organization holding several positions: Coach, Director of Recreation and President. During this time I was invited to try voicing a local commercial by one of my fellow coaches who had a Production Company. I did so and it was successful. I was actually paid! I went on to voice several more commercials that aired on cable in the local Atlanta market. I found that I really enjoyed working behind the microphone and bringing a script to life.
In 2012, I decided that I wanted to move from being a part time voice actor to full time. To do so, I needed additional training and of course professionally produced Demos. I have trained with several professional voice actors and had two commercial demos and a narration demo produced. I’ve also developed additional demos that demonstrate my range across various genres. As you can see, I now have a website and am actively marketing myself. I have a professional home studio with phone patch and can deliver fully edited voice products.
Now let me tell you what you will get should you decide to hire me for your project.
You’ll get someone who is honest, has integrity and will do what he says when he says he will. I believe strongly that you will find me easy to work with and that you will want to work with me again. Check out my “What Others Say” page for client validation.
Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
P.S. Why the beach scene ? First of all I really like the scene and I believe it represents my voice. Smooth, deep, easy on your ears. My wife thinks it’s sexy, with just a touch of Southern.
